  • What next after failing?

    What next after failing?

Failure.. the guest that has no single style or shape, for some they send out invites to failure and some never just sees her coming. Whatever the case, I am confident that failure has been a guest of every individual on earth at least one time in their lifetime.

Have you ever acknowledged that you have failed before? or are you team “koni baje baby” who move forward seconds after failing and pursue the next task like nothing ever happened? What ever team you are, we need your input.

    What is failure?

Our very dear friend – google defined failure as “lack of success” Whether it is failure in career, family, exercise goals, finances, academics, if you have ever felt not good enough or completely hit rock bottom, this post is for you.

    What next after failure?

There is this yearning/ temptation to throw in the towel after failing. In that instance, days after it, sometimes years after it, when you remember how you have failed, suicide thoughts might come, it might affect your self esteem, it might even influence serious life decisions and examinations to be done.

The morale of my tale today is to tell you that there is life after failure. I am sure you have heard the adage “when there is life, there is hope” if only we can trust that word like a child whenever we fail.

I personally acknowledge that rising after failing can be soo hard, but please know that suicide is not an option. Please, just keep that in mind. If you are feeling suicidal, please speak to someone about it.

Just like the logo of The Hatching Lady and the woman is coming out despite the shells poking her, please hatch! Dont give up in the shell, please hatch!

Here are 3 ways to get up after failing

Rise/ Sink again ; Failure is not always a bad thing. Sometimes, failure is the strong nudge you need to stop pursing a path or the nudge to do better. So you can either sink that chapter or you can rise from it.

Take stock ; This is a very crucial part of rising from failing. Why did the failure happen? (I call this root cause analysis) could it have been avoided? what resources do you need to do better?

Equip yourself and move again ; I found that getting busy after failing helps keep my mind busy and I also feel a great relief when I succeed at the new task I pick up after failing. You should try this!

So, what productive process can you engage your mind with? Lets try that out!

    Loads of love and support,

  • Unfollow Your Role Models

    Notice I didn’t say, mentor?
A mentor is someone that you are consciously learning from. Directly or indirectly.

Roles models are people we dream of being like. Our icons. We love them, and we want to be like them when we grow up”.
But when we need to unfollow them is when the race to be like them robs you of your uniqueness.

When you should unfollow is when you see that you struggle to make their path YOUR PATH.  You forget that most of these people are about 10 years older than you. You seriously want to be like them and comparing their results with yours,.instead of appreciating your baby steps which is probably 10x more than what they what they had at your age.

Unfollow when you see these signs, even if its just for a little while. Until you know how to follow, pick the right things and run with it. Refuse to put yourself under unnecessary pressure.

Till you hear from me again, please live your best life!

  • Taking Too Long ?

Feeling like you just want results already! Tired of waiting?

    To my beloved hatching fellow,

    Dear friend .

I write this note to you not as a perfect being but as a brethren who is on her own journey, who has had, is having and will still have her own share of waiting.

So, I ask myself this question and I am going to answer right before you. Abisola, what do you we do in our waiting period? (You can insert your name where mine is) We wait! The word of the Lord says- “which one of you by worrying can add a strand of hair to your head?”

What are you waiting for today? Job? Marriage? Contract? Perfection of your health? Children? You know that thing you are currently talking to God about and it looks like it’s not just happening. I can assure you that you do not want to see me when I am waiting.

I believe waiting is one of the toughest things to do in the kingdom, no wonder the bible also says” be still and know that I am God” because he understands that we as natural beings are wired for survival, we always moving on to the next, so having to wait is not a bed of roses.

I find myself acting so strong in faith, making declarations on some days. I also see myself crying my eyes out and weeping so badly that I can’t even make a sound anymore. I just want proofs, manifestations, testimonies and I just don’t want them, I want them NOW.

Let me share some declaration and personal reminders that help me , I hope it will help you too.

    1. God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? – Number 23:19

    2.  For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it may tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Which contained the destruction of the enemy, and the comfort of the Church.- Habakkuk 2:3

    3. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. – Jeremiah 29:11 4. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End- Revelations 22:13 5.

Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! – Isaiah 49:15

    Yours in the faith
